Born
in Llanfairpwll, Anglesey, Elin Fflur with her intensity
of performance and charismatic voice has created for
herself a large following.
She
came to national attention after performing the victorious
song for the Song for Wales competition 2002. She joined
Y Moniars for a while and released her first successful
album with them.
Since
then, two other popular albums have followed, one in
collaboration with Caryl Parry Jones, and one with her
own Band, which is now her main accompanying band in
live gigs. Her natural talent for performing a range
of songs, and the power of her delivery has made her
one of the outstanding talents of her generation, and
has attracted interest from producers in the USA and
England.
Her
own songs are based on personal experiences, and are
often composed with other members of the band. Siôn
Llwyd plays the bass-guitar, acoustic guitar and keyboards,
Jason Huxley lead guitar and Deian Elfryn the drums.
